Are there still hobos?

So before I get to these pictures, I have to tell a really funny story about when I was 4 or 5 years old. My older brother, Rick, had decided to dress up as a hobo for Halloween. I was just a midget and I had no idea what a hobo was so my mom explained to me that they are people that hang around train tracks and jump on trains to get from place to place. I actually thought this sounded like a pretty cool thing to do so I decided to be a hobo for Halloween too. Not only that but for years after that whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always told them I wanted to be a hobo – not even knowing I was being a little goof.

So I wore the costume to church and everyone kept calling me a bum which kinda made me mad. Then when I wore it to school the next day, nobody even knew what a hobo was, they kept calling me a bum and I actually got in a fight with one guy and got sent to the office. When I went trick or treating that night, everyone kept saying what a cute little bum I was. It was really a pretty crappy Halloween for me that year but there is still a little part of me that thinks it would be cool to jump trains to get from place to place.

Just thought you might like to know that…
